Medical examinations for specific purposes, such as life assurance, pre-employment, elderly drivers, fitness to undertake various sports, fitness to travel etc, are undertaken at the surgery, outside normal NHS clinics. Please say you wish to make “an appointment for a medical” and you will be put through to the correct department. A fee is payable for all non-NHS examinations. You will be advised of these charges on request.
Private healthcare forms, etc
A charge will be made for the doctor’s completion of these forms in accordance with BMA guidelines. A list of these charges is available in the surgery. You may leave the form and collect it 3-4 days later.
